New for 2020 is a deluxe version of our micro magnetic switch that supports both normally-open operation and normally-closed operation. You can pick how you want your connected lights to operate in response to the motion of the included micro magnets.
The animations below show how both operational modes work. Normally-closed is how the light inside your refrigerator works-- it's great for making lights turn on when a door is opened. Normally-open operation is great for turning lights on when you place a part with a magnet mounted inside in a specific location, and can be used to turn lights on and off inside a build without needing an exposed external switch.
What other uses will you dream up for these switches?
This kit includes one 3mm diameter micro magnetic switch (mounted inside a LEGO Technic Half-Pin), two micro magnets, and the control board with normally-open and normally-closed outputs. The magnetic switch is 20mm long.
